Privacy statement

Last updated: 30 October 2026

We collect as little as possible. This website uses no cookies. We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and runs in the EU.

Who we are

Canon Intelligence, the Netherlands. Privacy questions: simon@canon-iq.eu or by phone on +31 6 40 79 42 76.

When you visit this website

We set no cookies. To see how the website is used, we measure visits with Plausible Analytics, hosted in the EU. Plausible stores no IP addresses and builds no profiles; we see pages viewed, the referring website and the campaign in the link. If you arrive through a link in an email from us, that link contains a short code that tells us the recipient of that email visited the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether our emails are useful. Plausible keeps statistics only, without IP addresses. We keep the link between a code and its recipient ourselves, for at most 12 months after sending; after that it is deleted automatically and a visit can no longer be traced back to you. Fonts and the other scripts are served from our own website.

The website is hosted by Netlify. On every visit Netlify processes technical data, such as your IP address, browser and the time, to deliver and secure the website. Netlify keeps these server logs for less than 30 days and then deletes them automatically. Netlify is based in the United States and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for this transfer.

The examples on this website (the departments, the Playground, the wiki page) run only in your browser. Nothing you type or click there is sent anywhere. All names and data in those examples are invented.

When you book the check

You book the 30-minute check through Cal.com. You give your name, email address and a time, plus anything you choose to add. We use this only to plan and hold the conversation and to send you the single page afterwards. Cal.com processes this data on our behalf; see Cal.com's privacy policy as well.

Legal basis: your request for a conversation. We keep this data until 12 months after the conversation, or shorter if you ask us to.

When you call or email us

We use your details only to answer your question and keep them no longer than needed for that.

Links to other websites

This website links to LinkedIn and Cal.com. Their own privacy rules apply there.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or receive it in a common format. Contact us to do so. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
